The artistic exchange serves to position Salzburg internationally, promotes cooperation between culturally interested and active cities and enables Salzburg artists to spend time abroad, which allows them to gather new impressions and use practical experience for their work. In addition, the stays should serve to make contacts in order to create an artistic network.
The city of Salzburg is announcing eight artists-in-residence stays for visual artists for 2024
for a month in March in Dresden – Germany
for a month in March in Rovinj-Rovigno – Croatia
for a month in March in Budapest – Hungary
for a month in July in Meran – Italy
for a month in July in Minnesota (Anderson Center) – USA
for a month in July in Timisoara – Romania
for a month in August in Vantaa – Finland
for a month in September in Virginia (VCCA) – USA
Interested artists who have lived/centered their lives in the city of Salzburg for at least 2 years (proof) or who have a proven artistic presence in the city of Salzburg for at least 2 years (continuous exhibition activity, project collaborations, etc.) are invited to apply to apply from now until January 3, 2024.
