Salvatorian charity art auction for Romania and Venezuela

Vienna, August 27, 2024 (KAP) At the beginning of September, the Salvatorians will be offering art for a good cause for the tenth time: As part of an online charity auction, 50 works donated by artists will be auctioned off in cooperation with the auction house Dorotheum, with the total proceeds going to two aid projects run by the order in Romania and Venezuela. Interested bidders can place their bids from September 4th at 10 a.m., and the auction will end on September 18th at 5 p.m.

The projects benefiting from the donations include the Caritas Timisoara women’s shelter. The shelter for women and their children is one of the few local contact points for women who have been victims of physical or sexual violence. The proceeds also go to a Salvatorian education project in Caracas, which offers children and young people in the crisis-ridden country of Venezuela access to education and thus better prospects for the future.

Since the association “Salvatorians Worldwide” is one of the Austrian organizations whose donations can be deducted, there is the possibility of claiming 50 percent of the purchase price as a donation to the tax office when purchasing a work at the auction.

On Instagram at www.instagram.com/salvatorianer_kunstauktion The order offers, among other things, current information about the auction and exclusive insights into the works of art. A preview of the works of art is also possible on September 15th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., on September 16th from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on September 17th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the summer refectory of the Vienna Salvatorian Monastery at Habsburgergasse 12 (1st district). Information is also available by calling 0676 / 533 46 80 or by email at charity@salvatorianer.at.
