Through the intervention of the National Civil Police (PNC) in coordination with the Guatemalan authorities, they arrested a Salvadoran gang member accused of homicide.
This is Eduardo Antonio Vásquez Menéndez, alias Piropo, a member of the 18S criminal structure, who tried to take refuge from justice in that country.
According to investigations, this gang member has a current record of two homicides committed and has a 40-year prison sentence, which is why he escaped to Guatemala.
Due to this, the police authorities indicated that the gang member will be presented before the First Sentencing Judge of Santa Ana, who claims him.
“We are not going to allow any murderer like this to return to our communities, we will make sure that he pays with decades in prison for each crime committed,” commented the Minister of Justice and Security, Gustavo Villatoro in X.
