The circumstances of the murder
On the evening of November 8, 2023, Saltanat Nukenova and a friend went to a concert held in the central concert hall “Kazakhstan”. According to Bishimbaev, his wife wanted her husband to go there with her. After the concert, he and Saltanat went to a restaurant together, where a quarrel began.

According to the investigation, Bishimbaev attacked Saltanat in the lobby of the restaurant “series of devastating blows” fists on the head. She fell to the floor, after which he began to kick her. After beating his wife, Bishimbaev called the director of the restaurant, his cousin Bakhitzhan Baizhanov, and asked him to come. On the spot, Baizhanov saw Nukenova lying unconscious and wheezing. There was blood and torn hair all around. Bishimbaev and Baizhanov lifted Nukenova and put her on the sofa, but they did not call an ambulance.
