Salsa and bachata classes will be held at the Municipal Market

Starting on Friday, October 4, the Municipal Market will be transformed into a cultural meeting and learning space with the start of free salsa, bachata and Latin rhythms classes. This initiative seeks to promote culture and offer a recreational activity for the community.

The classes will be taught by outstanding teachers: Celeste Díaz and Juan, who will teach salsa and bachata, and Charlie Pereira, who will be in charge of Latin rhythms. The sessions will begin at 8:30 p.m. with the Latin rhythms class led by Professor Charlie, followed at 9:30 p.m. by salsa and initial bachata classes, with basic steps, both singly and in pairs.

Professor Celeste Díaz commented: “We want to promote the salsa and bachata scene in Tafí Viejo, providing a space where everyone can learn and enjoy these dances. We hope that many neighbors are encouraged to participate and that this is just the beginning of something big.”

Additionally, Díaz highlighted that these classes will be an opportunity for the residents of Tafí Viejo, many of whom used to move to San Miguel to learn these dances, to do so in their own city. The classes will be held in a pleasant environment where, after each session, participants will be able to stay to enjoy music and gastronomy in the market.

The initiative will be suspended only in case of rain, but classes are projected to continue until the end of the year. This proposal not only seeks to promote culture and dance, but also strengthen the sense of community and offer an entertainment option accessible to everyone.

The support of the mayor Alejandra Rodriguez In these cultural activities, the importance that the municipality gives to the promotion of culture and the well-being of its citizens stands out.
