The CCI du Tarn was present at Siane, the industrial trade fair, from 15 to 17 October at MEET in Toulouse. Michel Colombié, vice president of Business at the department’s Chamber of Commerce, discusses this important event for businesses.
Why did CCI Tarn participate in Siane’s presentation?
It is an unmissable event for many businesses. At the CCI, we have cultivated over time the call of these companies for this exhibition. In 2013, we started with eight companies, it was not a sure thing. Today we have between 25 and 30 companies, the school In & ma, in short the Tarn economic center. Siane has created a real collaboration, which we maintain.

What are the benefits for businesses in the sector?
Siane puts businesses first. SMEs and SMIs benefit from this exhibition to strengthen themselves. They can also create links with other companies in the sector. The Siane is a show recognized by people and the public. For companies, there are consequences at the business level. This allows them to make themselves known and be identified by buyers present at Siane.
Are there areas of particular interest to businesses?
For an SME, dealing with the issue of AI can be a turn off. The exhibition is an opportunity to visit other companies and get other experiences. They leave their comfort zone and go to areas where they had difficulty going on their own like artificial intelligence. They also go into areas they are already familiar with such as business, aviation, etc.
What is your feedback from Siane’s salon?
After the presentation, we do a debriefing and feedback about experiences. This allows us to plan for next year. Companies find it interesting but not necessarily for the same reasons. We are there for our companies, we question ourselves every year, while remaining alert to business issues.
