Actor Salman Khan tried to recreate a step from his song Jumme Ki Raat (Kick) with actress Pooja Hegde on stage during his Da-bangg tour in Dubai recently. In the original song, which also features actress Jacqueline Fernandez, Salman lifted her coat with his teeth and danced as she walked in front of him. A clip from the Dubai event surfaced online that showed Salman trying to make the move with Pooja on the same song, but he couldn’t because he was wearing a short tight dress. On Reddit, users commented on the clip with mixed reactions. One person said: “I was trying to do the famous step that was with the teeth, but the joke was that this dress was short. Sure it’s in bad taste, but I’m pretty sure it was staged, as it’s a very, very popular move.”
Another person wrote: “That’s part of this song and dance routine. It looked gross. I agree with that”. “Yes, he takes Jacqueuline’s dress off in the music video but it’s not very appropriate here,” said another user on the platform.
“I think there is some step in the original song where he bites the skirt and dances and here he is trying to show that there is nothing to bite, whatever it is, it is very weird,” said one person. One user also called it “yuck,” while another wrote, “Oh my eyes, my eyes, my eyes.” “Ew, wtf is this. Pure shame,” one user wrote. One person said, “Oh honey, no, no, no.”
Kick was released in 2014 and is an action movie produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. It also features Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Salman will also be seen in the sequel, Kick 2. He also has Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in the works.
Salman will also appear in the upcoming Tiger 3 movie alongside Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the upcoming action thriller has been mostly filmed in various countries including Turkey, Russia, and Austria. Tiger 3 will have Salman reprising his role as R&AW (Research & Analysis Wing) agent Avinash Singh Rathore, aka Tiger, while Katrina will be seen playing the female lead, Zoya.
The first movie in the franchise called Ek Tha Tiger was released in 2012 and was directed by Kabir Khan. The second film Tiger Zinda Hai was released in 2017 and was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Salman and Katrina have appeared in both installments of the franchise.
