Salma seeks to immortalize stories in music

Even if the artist dies, a good composition will live for eternity. It is with this thought that the Mexican singer Salma wishes to continue exploring her side as a songwriter and fulfill her dream of making songs for other artists.

“A composer never dies, songs stay for a lifetime, that’s one of the reasons why I kept experimenting with composition, I want to make songs from other stories, that’s something super nice,” he says.

The interpreter shares that from a young age she grew up admiring the great voices of artists like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, who for her have always been the pioneers of powerful ballads sung by women, a type of song that she would like to compose.

“Right now I have an obsession with an artist from Canada named Tate McRae, who is a songwriter and I love how she talks about love; I always analyze those types of artists who are at that level and that I would like to see also happen in my music and represent this Latin part ”, he explains.

At the moment, the singer is promoting her latest single “No es mi culpa”, which is now available on all digital platforms.

“It’s a song that talks about love, but more personal, it’s like being more selfish in a more positive way with ourselves, I think we need this type of song.”
