William Saliba and Martin Odegaard are two of five Arsenal players named in the PFA Premier League’s Team of the Year for 2023-24.
Arsenal pushed Manchester City to the limit in the Premier League title race last season but ultimately had to settle for second place after finishing two points behind Pep Guardiola’s side.
The Gunners’ efforts were rewarded at the PFA Awards, with five players featuring in the Premier League Team of the Year.

Saliba and Odegaard are joined by goalkeeper David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice. Champions Manchester City are also well represented with their top scorer Erling Haaland, Kyle Walker, Rodri and Phil Foden. The team is completed by Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa and England).
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has already revealed what he thinks it will take to beat City to the title this season, with the Spaniard saying his side would need “114 points” to oust the Cityzens as English champions.
