Salesforce strengthens e-commerce offering through acquisition of PredictSpring

Salesforce Inc. (NYSE: CRM, ISIN: US79466L3024) announced on August 1, 2024 that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PredictSpring.

PredictSpring is a retail point-of-sale (POS) software provider built natively in the cloud. The company offers an omnichannel commerce platform for retail.

Brands should get a seamless store experience with support for full POS, mPOS, cash management, customer care, endless aisle, inventory management and curbside pickup.

PredictSpring was founded by Nitin Mangtani, the visionary behind Google Shopping. Investors include Salesforce Ventures, Felicis Ventures, Novel TMT Ventures and Beanstalk Ventures.

Upon completion of the transaction, PredictSpring will enable Salesforce to deliver a unified omnichannel platform spanning digital and physical channels.

PredictSpring’s software is designed to complement Salesforce’s existing Customer 360 capabilities and bring Salesforce technology further into the physical store.

PredictSpring’s cloud POS solutions enable store associates to interact with customers and complete in-store transactions via a mobile device.

In addition to cloud POS, store solutions include clienteling, endless aisle, store fulfillment and store operations capabilities that support store associates and optimize and personalize the shopping experience across physical and digital touchpoints.
