A new car brand is heading to the Czech Republic. The well-known MG brand, which comes from the United Kingdom, will start selling here in June this year.
Autobinck has become the official partner of the SAIC corporation for the launch of the MG brand in the CEE region – the Czech Republic and Slovakia. MG, a well-known British-Chinese brand with a 98-year history, is expanding its activities in Central Europe to further strengthen its position in new European markets. The original British car manufacturer MG is now part of the SAIC Group – the largest car manufacturer in China. The MG Development Center is currently located in the United Kingdom and has manufacturing facilities in China.
MG offers several models on European markets that are available with internal combustion engines (ICE), plug-in hybrid drive (PHEV) and pure electric versions (BEV) – for example Marvel R (available only as BEV), HS (for available as ICE and PHEV) and IB (available as ICE and BEV).
MG will offer Czech and Slovak customers a complete package of premium design, the latest technologies and high levels of equipment. Autobinck plans to open new MG offices in the Czech Republic and Slovakia – expected in June 2022.
