Salerno, to the Honorary Guide Regiment of Avigliano

Il Avigliano municipal council awarded honorary citizenship to ‘Guide Cavalry Regiment‘ stationed at Salerno. The ceremony took place in the presence of the mayor, Giuseppe Meccaand the commander of the Regiment, Colonel Nicola Iovino. With the honor the municipal administration recognized the Regiment as “profitable relationship of institutional collaboration with schools, associations, parishes and the municipality of Avigliano, in the context of civil-military cooperation in support of Unifil mission in Lebanonconveying effective signs of solidarity for the population of the district Number (South Lebanon) and offering concrete opportunities for commitment and reflection on the values ​​of peace, human rights and freedom, in an area afflicted by strong contrasts“.
