Salerno, the wild boars “encroach” and go for a walk in the historic center

Until now the sightings had taken place along the streets of the hilly neighbourhoods, closer to the woods, or in the areas at the foot of the barest part of the municipal territory, such as the district of Saint Eustace. For the first time, however, on Sunday night a group of wild boars reached the historic center of the city, probably taking advantage of the paths that are closed to citizens but accessible to these animals. The administrator of the social page of the territorial committee reported the incident “Salerno my land”, Dario Rendawho reported the arrival of numerous requests from various citizens who «they report that a Largo Montone e in via Ruggiero’s Trotula Wild boars have been spotted».

The danger

Among other things, as Renda recalls, «wild boars can be dangerous for the safety of citizens and can attack in the event of a night encounter».
