Salerno, Smet Group celebrates 77 years of history

Il Smet Groupa leading European intermodal player, today celebrates 77 years of history dedicated to innovation in the transport sector, from the economic recovery of the immediate post-war period to the affirmation of intermodality and the recent advent of artificial intelligence. The SMET Group reaches this important milestone, which will be celebrated in Salerno today, at 8.30 pm, at SPA EasyFuel in Via Cappello Vecchio, in the presence of the DeRosa family in full force and the collaborators who over the years have contributed with their work to the growth path of the company. The presenter of the evening will be the journalist Philip Romehistoric correspondent of the television program Le Iene on Italia 1.

On this occasion, the first IVECO S-Way 4×2 tractor model AS440S50T/P – SF4T 500 hp of the new IVECO range will be delivered as a national preview – in the presence of IVECO top management – ​​the most performing and sustainable vehicle with HVO (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) biofuel traction. In fact, the new xCursor 13 engine, as well as the improvements made to aerodynamics, the kinematic chain and predictive driving via GPS, allow fuel savings of up to 10%, making the IVECO S-Way the ideal vehicle for long-haul missions. The new 500 hp IVECO S-Way joins the 100 490 hp units ordered by the SMET Group to further implement its fleet of low environmental impact vehicles.

The evening’s program also includes a sporting interlude, with the presentation of the team that will play the 2024/2025 championship wearing the colors of’US Poseidon 1958: the team of the city of the temples of Paestum, of which the Knight Domenico De Rosa He is Honorary President.
