Salerno ring road, the ramp to Arbostella closes

Along the Salerno ring road traffic returned to normal around 12.30 pm, after the queues recorded in the morning towards the south, following a series of concomitant events which affected ordinary transit. In particular, around 8.00 this morning (in full rush hour) a heavy vehicle broken downwhich stopped its journey at km 59.800 of the southern carriageway, created severe traffic slowdowns (rescue personnel intervened on site Anas and of Police), already partly affected – even on the internal roads, adjacent to the ring road – by the strong wave of bad weather that affected the Salerno area during the night and into the early hours of the day.

Furthermore, starting yesterday (when no particular inconveniences occurred) maintenance work was started on the structures of the viaduct at km 60.100 – overpass via San Leonardo of the Municipality of Salerno – which make it necessary (until the end of April) to close the exit ramp from the junction Mariconda heading south, on the municipal road (Arbostella district). The execution of these works by Anas – which will mainly consist of cortical rehabilitation, replacement of expansion joints, strengthening of the water disposal system, adaptation of curbs, replacement of safety barriers – had been informed in advance.
