The Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of Salerno they executed an order for the application of precautionary measures issued, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, by the investigating judge of the Court of Salerno against Claudio PreciousAndrea Vitali and Omar Riahi and in particular against the first of the interdictory measure of suspension from the exercise of public service for a period of one year and against the other two defendants of the measure temporary ban on carrying out entrepreneurial activities and to exercise managerial offices of legal persons or companies for a period of nine months); the aforementioned are charged with the crimes of corruption as well as ideological forgery in a public document committed by a private individual.
In particular, according to the reconstruction put forward by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and, at present, shared by the judge, a consolidated corruption agreement would have materialized between the defendants, and in particular Preziosi, as Siae representative for the Salerno area, abusing this function, would have sponsored a commercial company with registered office in Bologna headed by Vitali and of which Riahi was commercial manager, in order to have it take over the ticketing service of entertainment establishments in the province of Salerno, in exchange for sums of money formally justified by issuing objectively and subjectively untrue invoices.
“Siae – reads a note from the company – after having learned of the precautionary measures issued by the Salerno Public Prosecutor’s Office against Claudio Preziosi, has dutifully proceeded with the suspension of his mandate and, at the same time, has already identified the professional who will replace him for the area of competence, while waiting to acquire further elements also to safeguard the interests of the authors and publishers that this body represents”.
