Salernitana-Sassuolo 2-2, a shock that brings only a draw

With a second half all heart there Salernitana scores a 2-2 comeback against the Sassuolo in the match that opened the 31st day of A league. The Granata were two goals down in the first half and managed to come back thanks to goals scored by Candreva on a penalty and Maggiore. But it is a point that is of little use in the battle for survival with Colantuono’s team remaining in last position.

Mister Colantuono who asked his men for a surge of pride, lines up the Granata with the 4-4-1-1 with Candreva behind Emphasis. On the other side Ballardini responds with a 4-2-3-1 with Pinamonti only offensive reference. The match starts at a slow pace with the two teams studying each other without offending and the game staying on the midline. But it is the Granata who are the first to become dangerous in the 16th minute Pierozzi who tries a cross shot that puts him in difficulty Advice who saves himself by pushing away with his fists. The Granata also try to win it and a minute later Vignato has a good opportunity but shoots high from a good position. On the opposite side the neroverdi try again but Costil is miraculous at the top Pinamonti before the referee’s final whistle which seals the final 2-2.
