JAKARTA – Government this year has allocated a budget of Rp. 8.8 trillion for the wage subsidy assistance program (BSU) or salary subsidy BLT. The coverage of recipients reached 8.8 million people.
The Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah stated that the BSU program was designed for workers or laborers with salaries below Rp. 3.5 million. BSU and will be given to workers or laborers in the amount of Rp. 500,000 per month for two months to be paid at once in the amount of Rp. 1 million.
“Currently, the Ministry of Manpower is preparing policy instruments for implementing the 2022 BSU and will ensure that the BSU program can be run quickly, precisely, accurately and accountably,” said Ida, Monday (2/5/2022).
Ida assessed that although the economic condition was still in a recovery period and not yet fully stable, the government continued to pursue programs aimed at easing the burden on the business world and affected workers.
This year, continued Ida, the Job Loss Guarantee program (JKP) can already be claimed by workers or workers who have experienced termination of employment (PHK) with benefits in the form of cash, job market information, and job training.
“We have implemented the Job Loss Guarantee (JKP) since February 2022, and friends who have experienced layoffs and are BPJS Employment participants, meet the requirements to get JKP benefits and are laid off can already get the JKP program benefits,” said Ida.
