Salary subsidies are not provided for pre-employment card participants

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said for the participants BPJS of Employment who have followed the program Pre-employment Card definitely not getting salary subsidies from the government.

“I think this is how all the people can benefit from the presence of the state. While we feel that because there are so many people who have to help, it would be nice not to pile up on 1-2 people,” he said in Jakarta, Tuesday (11/8/2020) ).

“So those who have received the Pre-employment Card, yes, give that opportunity to the others,” he said.

Thus, according to him, there is equity for workers or laborers affected by the corona virus pandemic (Covid-19) to get the benefits of wage subsidies from the government.

“So, in the meantime we are working on the Manpower Ministerial Decree. Hopefully this will be finished today. While we are taking steps to make this equalization happen, those who have received the Pre-Employment Card program will not benefit from salary subsidies,” he said.

The government decided to increase the number of beneficiaries of the salary subsidy assistance program from 13.8 million workers to 15.7 workers with a total budget of Rp 37.7 trillion.

This salary subsidy assistance is given to formal workers or laborers of IDR 600,000 per month for four months, bringing the total to IDR 2.4 million per person.

Disbursement of aid is carried out in two stages and is distributed once every two months.
