On average, women in city administration still earn significantly less than their male colleagues. The citizens’ list sees a need to catch up in terms of the number of department heads.
For the first time in six years, the Salzburg City Personnel Office issued an income report shortly before the end of the year. This is due to the insistence of the citizens ‘list, which has brought in countless inquiries and applications, most recently in December 2019. “It works. I expect the reports to be updated annually,” says Inge Haller, head of the citizens’ list. Because income transparency is an important step towards income equity.
