Explanation:
Circulating an upload on Facebook sharing an image containing news that the monkeypox pandemic had begun, in the upload also claimed that the chimpanzee adenovirus vector content in the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine was the cause of monkeypox infecting humans so that it could infect other people.
Upon further investigation, the claim was false. In fact, the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine uses a chimpanzee adenovirus vaccine vector to transport genetic instructions to the body to trigger the production of a spike protein similar to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Professor Yoo Jin-hong, an epidemiologist at the Catholic University of Korea said that the monkeypox virus and the chimpanzee adenovirus used in the AstraZeneca vaccine are different viruses and do not cause disease in humans.
Thus the claim of Monkeypox Caused from Side Effects of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 Vaccine is a hoax with the category of Misleading Content.
