The Czech motorcycle racer Fliip Salač reached the result of his life in Sunday’s Doha Grand Prix. He even led in the Moto3 World Championship, but fell six laps before the end.
For the second Sunday in a row, the riders competed in the World Road Motorcycle Championship under the artificial lights of the Losail circuit. The Qatar Grand Prix was followed by the Doha Grand Prix.
After an unsuccessful qualification, Salače moved the collective penalty of his opponents to the fifth row. After the start, he soon made it to the top 10 and entered the third lap in fourth position. In the next lap, he even took the lead for a while.
Filip Salač (12) in the fight of the group leader:
While every position was fought for in the leading group and the order was constantly changing, the best of the group of punished people gradually approached it. However, their finish did not bother Salače in any way, and the Czech rider held on to fight for the premier victory.
But six laps before the goal of the Rivacold Snipers Team’s hope for the life outcome, they went out. Salač fell and never returned to the race.
As if launching an avalanche of falls. After one of them, the British John McPhee punched Jeremy Alcoba from Spain, whom he blamed for his carom.

Pedro Acosta finished sensationally for the triumph, although he started with a big loss from the pit lane. The Spaniard thus took the lead in the championship. Salač is sixteenth with three points.
In MotoGP, rookie Jorge Martin rode for a long time for the premiere victory. But four laps before the end, the 23-year-old Spaniard was overtaken by Fabio Quartararo in the Ducati saddle. The French racer soon won the lead, which he maintained until the finish. At the same time, he rose to the first place in the series.
Thanks to him, the Yamaha factory team celebrated after the triumph of Maverick Viňales in Losail and in the second race in a row. Another Frenchman, Johann Zarco, finished second, pushing a teammate from the Pramac Martin stable in the last meters.
Valentino Rossi did not score any points on the Yamaze in the colors of the Petronas team. The 16th place is in the races he finished, Italy’s worst result since the 2018 Malaysian GP.
In the Moto2 category, the week-old triumph of Sam Lowes repeated. The Brit thus became the first racer in the history of this class written since 2010, who managed to win two Grand Prix in a row.
