Salač took over, achieving the best result in Moto2. Vejmelka also cheered for him

The Spaniard Augusto Fernández won on the Dutch circuit, repeating the week-old triumph from the Sachsenring. Thanks to the third championship of the season, he managed to lead the Italian Celestino Vietti at the head of the championship, who finished fourth. Both have 146 points. One point behind them is the Japanese Ai Ogura, who took second place in Assen. Third was Briton winner Jake Dixon.

After starting from the twelfth position, Salač scored for the fifth time in this year’s eleventh race. He has 14 points in the overall standings and improved to 21st place.

Italian Francesco Bagnaia won in the royal MotoGP class. The French Fabio Quartararo continues to lead the standings, although he fell twice and did not finish this year for the first time. However, his closest pursuer, the Spaniard Aleix Espargaró, reduced the gap to 21 points thanks to fourth place after performing a great chase.

In the fourth lap, Quartararo had his first fall when he overtook Espargar and they clashed together. The Spaniard held on to the machine, but returned to the track at a loss. The French defending champion took an even bigger deficit, but he continued. However, the winner of this year’s Grand Prix ended up on the ground once again and had after the race. After him, Espargar came to apologize.

Bagnaia won by 444 thousandths of a second ahead of compatriot Marc Bezzecchi, who reached the podium in MotoGP for the first time. With his third triumph of the season, he imitated the balance of Quartarar and compatriot Eney Bastianini. From the last six races, Bagnaia won three and did not finish three times.

In the Moto3 race, the Japanese Ajumu Sasaki won the first victory of his career. Thanks to the third place, the Spaniard Sergio García maintained the lead in the championship, who was not enough for Sasaki and his compatriot Izan Guevara, with whom he lost by 78 thousandths of a second. Guevara came close to him in the evaluation of the series by three points.

After the Assen Grand Prix, the World Championship will have a long break until August 7, when it will take place in Silverstone. The Finnish Grand Prix was to be held in two weeks, but was canceled due to the security situation in the area after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
