Nineteen-year-old Salač started the Grand Prix after a successful qualification from the sixth position and fought for the fifth place in the beginning. But then the Czech rider, who had three falls in training, fell into the second ten and after tearing the field he rode in the group striving for tenth place. “It wasn’t an easy day. As it sounded after the falls, I felt even more broken. Everything hurts. I was a little handicapped by my left knee and I also feel my whole right leg a lot,” Salač said in a press release.
A member of the CarXpert Prüstel team, whom he transferred to before the summer break, attacked the second best result of the year after his second place in Le Mans. In the end, Salač did not reach the tenth place and in the final corners he dropped to the penultimate scoring position.

“I had a good start, but then I lost contact with the top and failed. I left the whole race in the group for tenth place with Garcia and Acosta, who are fighting for the title. I enjoyed the race, I fought a lot, we were still overtaking, very I enjoyed it, “Salač continued, praising his work with the new team. “I feel progress in myself, I understand the KTM motorcycle a bit more and I adapt my style to it more. We did a good job with the whole team and I’m already looking forward to Aragón,” he said.
He confirmed his sovereignty in the Fenati race, which was the fastest in all three trainings and qualifiers in Silverston. The 25-year-old Italian finished first in the season and 13th in his career, one and a half seconds ahead of compatriot Niccol Antonelli. The Italian podium was completed by Denis Foggia.
Seventeen-year-old Spanish rookie Pedro Acosta is leading the championship by a large margin, although he finished 11th today. Salač is seventeenth and can still think that for the first time in his career he will finish in the final ranking of the World Championships in the top twenty.
In MotoGP, Quartararo supported his championship ambitions with a dominant victory with a lead of 2,663 seconds over Suzuki’s Álex Rins. Another Spaniard, Aleix Espargaró, finished third, taking care of the historically first podium placement of Aprilia in the Royal Avenue.
The 22-year-old Quartararo leads the championship by 65 points ahead of reigning world champion Joan Mir, who finished ninth today.
