Saipul Jamil’s Assistant Tests Positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine: Jakarta Police Statement

The police stated the results of the assistant’s urine test Saipul Jamil (SJ), Steven Arthur Ristiady tested positive for using amphetamine and methamphetamine. West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner M Syahduddi said that his party also carried out a hair test on Steven but the results had not yet come out.

“Yes, we will send the samples to the laboratory later and we will inform you immediately,” said Commissioner M Syahduddi to journalists at the Tambora Police, Saturday (6/1/2024).

Syahduddi said Saipul Jamil’s urine test results were negative. He said Saipul Jamil was officially returned to his family and declared not related to the case.

“Regarding Brother SJ, because his results were negative for drugs, we will return him to his family,” he said.

Saipul Jamil also appreciated the swift steps taken by the West Jakarta Police and Tambora Police in carrying out the arrest. He admitted that he was proud of the West Jakarta Police and Tambora Police.

“Today I want to provide support to the Police of the Republic of Indonesia to continue to eradicate drugs and I am very proud of the West Jakarta Police and also the Tambora Police who are very alert in eradicating drugs even though I am not involved in it,” he said.

Saipul Jamil said he had never used narcotics. He did not expect his assistant to test positive for using amphetamine and methamphetamine.

“At least I have experience that they are very alert when there are people who are suspected of having drugs like that,” he said.

He said this incident made him more selective in choosing prospective employees. He said he was ready to support the police in eradicating drugs.

“So I also couldn’t believe it if it turned out that my personal assistant was one of those drug users and thank God, with Allah’s permission, from when I was little until my current age I never touched drugs, not even a little bit, not even a drop, no one else ever in my body. And I will be ready to support the Indonesian Police to eradicate drugs in Indonesia,” he said.
