FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Saipul Jamil through his lawyer Farhat Abbas stated that there is no prohibition against him appearing in television programs. This was clearly known by Saipul Jamil after a meeting with the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI).
Farhat even threatened to take legal action if there were still those who said Saipul Jamil was banned from appearing on television programs by using the KPI ban as a ‘weapon’.
Deputy Chairman of the Central KPI Mulyo Hadi Purnomo confirmed the meeting between Saipul Jamil and KPI representatives. According to him, the meeting will take place on November 4, 2021 at his office.
In the meeting, KPI gave more input to Saipul Jamil if he still wanted to appear on television shows. The essence of the input is how Dewi Perssik’s ex-husband can be well received by the public.
KPI confirmed that until now it has remained unchanged in accordance with the letter sent to broadcasters related to the Saipul Jamil case. In number 602/K/KPI/31.2/09/2021 dated 6 September 2021, KPI asked television not to glorify Saipul Jamil’s freedom.
