SAIPA’s Global Expansion: Introducing the New Pars Khodro Cadilla L90/P90

The long-suffering project of the largely modernized 1st generation Renault Logan, produced by the SAIPA automobile brand, is preparing to discover new countries. In addition to Iran, Pars Khodro Cadilla L90/P90 cars will also be sold in other markets.

According to SAIPA’s internal plans, this year the volume of production of the converted Logan of the first generation will be 5 thousand cars, and a year later this figure will increase by 8 times (up to 40 thousand produced cars). At the same time, in total, by 2029, the Iranian plant intends to assemble about 325,000 Cadilla L90/P90.

Interestingly, such sedans are going to be sold not only in the local market, but also in other countries. Moreover, the name Cadilla will be used exclusively for export cars, while in Iran they will come up with a different name for the 4-door.

Recall, Pars Khodro Cadilla L90/P90 is a deeply modernized version of the first generation Renault Logan/Dacia Logan.

The project was frozen for a long time due to the lack of many components, but SAIPA managed to resolve this issue and now this sedan is being prepared for sale in Iran.

As an engine, a 1.6-liter gasoline “aspirated” is declared for it, which previously went to the four-door SAIPA Shahin, which has not yet reached Russia. The motor will be paired with a 5-speed “mechanics” or a 6-speed automatic transmission of the Chinese brand DAE.

Given SAIPA’s global export plans for this model, as well as clear intentions to enter the Russian Federation, it will almost certainly be possible to buy Pars Khodro Cadilla L90/P90 on our market.

However, given the delay of other models of the Iranian brand on the way to Russia, there is a risk that such an opportunity, if it does appear, is clearly not this year or even next year.
