“Saints Row Set to Expand Availability to Steam Despite Commercial Struggles”

Saints Row clearly didn’t catch on as many had hoped, and both critically and commercially the game fell short of Embracer Group’s expectations. However, developer Volition is sticking to its plans to support the game, and it looks like the developer is also ready to release the game on Steam.

Since its launch last August, Saints Row has of course been available on PC exclusively through the Epic Games Store. However, recently the Project Athena page in SteamDB (which has been around since 2017) has been rebranded as Saints Row, suggesting that the game may be heading to the Valve store soon. Presumably, she has a temporary window of exclusivity that will last for about a year.

Saints Row is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC. The first expansion will release on May 9, with more content updates planned for the next couple of months.
