Hospitals, freed from Covid, are rescheduling surgeries and transfusing a lot. The need for blood is increasing. Together, the Livradais Volunteer Blood Donation Association and the French Blood Establishment have the power to meet the blood product needs of all patients.
As a partner in the French blood transfusion, we must do everything possible for “a general mobilization” of the inhabitants of the communes around the municipality of Sainte Livrade. In this normal period, after Covid, it would seem that becoming a voluntary donor for a blood donation is no longer a priority action.
In addition, the EFS is currently experiencing significant staffing difficulties.
This recurring situation leads to strong strains on mobile donations at a time when any donation is welcome (which exasperates donor-volunteers).
The EFS ensures that: “even without an appointment, we will do everything to welcome all donors”.
For several years ADSB.du Livradais has been involved in “encouraging the voluntary and voluntary donation of blood for young people aged 18 to 70”. Its activity takes place mainly in Sainte-Livrade but also in Le Temple-sur-Lot and Granges-sur-Lot
The next collection will take place on November 18 in Le Temple-sur-Lot, from 8:00 to 12:00 in the town hall of Josiane Mascarin.
