Saint-Sozy. Two days with Virginia Woolf

For two days, on August 29 and 30, the Désir de livres association will celebrate the brilliant Virginia Woolf, author of a powerful work at the Château de Lazièche in Saint-Sozy.

The opportunity to present the exhibition of paintings by Laurence Buaillon echoing the life and work of Virginia Woolf, a key figure who guides the artist’s reflection and work. A meeting is also planned with Emmanuelle Favier, author of Virginia (Albin Michel), who traces the first 20 years of the writer, childhood and adolescence, founders, and emancipation to the first steps in writing.

The film Vita & Virginia by Chanya Button (2019) will also be screened in the presence of Laurence Buaillon and Emmanuelle Favier, at the cinema l’Uxello in Vayrac. Finally, public readings will also be organized.
