For the second time in its history, the French Blood Establishment (EFS) has published a vital emergency bulletin. “Despite the mobilization of donors in June, the level of blood reserves remains too low to face the summer,” said the EFS in its press release. This is the second bulletin of this kind in less than six months and it shows that the situation is particularly critical on the eve of vacation departures. “If the situation does not recover in the very short term, it will not allow the EFS to supply hospitals and clinics with blood products during the summer to treat the sick”, assures the EFS. However, many collection centers are scattered throughout the territory.
