Saint-Priest-en-Jarez: New premises for the adapted company Messidor

Messidor bought the former buildings of the hygiene and cleanliness company ISS in Saint-Prist-en-Jarez, to settle there in December 2021. This investment, amounting to €590,000, allows it to gain office space with 850 m2 divided between offices and workshops, all on 2,000 m2 of land. According to David Zapparoli, Loire director of the adapted company and of the Esat de Roanne, “this address, in addition to the 25 parking spaces gained, offers accompanied people a comfortable life with a nearby bus service.”

The renovation and additional fittings (floors, walls and fence) were carried out by the multi-service team, one of the branches of Messidor which also has a green spaces and hygiene and cleanliness sector, representing 30 full-time equivalents for 39 employees (26 FTE for 33 employees at Esat de Roanne.)

The adapted so-called transition company supports people with mental disorders with the aim of returning to work within an average of four years. With an integration objective of 10% achieved in 2021, the company is faced like any other company with a labor shortage. “The relationship to work has changed, we are not exempt from it”underlines the director.

A phenomenon accentuated by the growing interest of companies for this public in order to overcome their own recruitment difficulties.. At the end of May, 11 insertions in an ordinary environment were thus successful. To compensate for his outings, Messidor will have to organize Professional Situation Periods (PMSP), a fifteen-day internship period to test the candidates’ interpersonal skills. Forty tests were carried out in 2021 for eight integrations and four within the springboard system.
