This cinematic work is the first fictional work for the 43-year-old director, who specializes in documentaries before completing the film, including No (2021).
“Saint-Omer” won the Grand Jury Prize and the First Film Prize in Venice, Italy.
“Saint Omer is a film that carries a strong message and symbolizes the renewed character of French cinema,” said Dominique Botonna, president of the French Cinema Center.
The film will be screened in French cinemas on 23 November.
