Saint Nectarius passed to the eternal ones on the night of November 8, 1920, being buried in his foundation, from the island of Aegina: Holy Trinity Monastery.
Among the innumerable gifts received from God, St. Nectarius was glorified with the gift of working miracles. For the countless miracles he performed during his life and still does, he was named “The Thaumaturge”, meaning “The Healer”, according to adevarul.ro.
Radu Vodă Monastery, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, in Bucharest, has had as patron, since 2002, Saint Nectarie the Thaumaturgist. The fragments of the relics of Saint Nectarius, donated to the monastery in 2001, are placed in a coffin that stands on the left side of the church, under a canopy. Believers from all over the country, sick or distressed people come and offer prayers to Nectarius.
