Saint Nectarius passed to the eternal ones on the night of November 8, 1920, being buried in his foundation, from the island of Aegina: Holy Trinity Monastery.
Among the innumerable gifts received from God, St. Nectarius was glorified with the gift of working miracles. For the countless miracles he performed during his life and still does, he was named “The Thaumaturge”, meaning “The Healer”, according to adevarul.ro.

Radu Vodă Monastery, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, in Bucharest, has had as patron, since 2002, Saint Nectarie the Thaumaturgist. The fragments of the relics of Saint Nectarius, donated to the monastery in 2001, are placed in a coffin that stands on the left side of the church, under a canopy. Believers from all over the country, sick or distressed people come and offer prayers to Nectarius.

“I really wanted children. Time passed and, if I saw that it was not to be, I started to make fertilizers. That’s when I discovered Saint Nectarius thanks to Claudia Ghiţulescu, my friend. I prayed before I got pregnant with Albert, but more on the second pregnancy, at Aida. I couldn’t cope anymore, I didn’t hope to do it anymore. I went to pray twice a week and the Saint listened to my prayer. I thank Saint Nectarius for giving me Aida “, Cristina Spătar confessed to us.

“In the hospital I take with me the icon of the saint”

Leo Iorga (51 years old), diagnosed with lung cancer in 2011, underwent four surgeries. “Before the operation in 2011, I went to St. Nectarius and prayed for health. Every time I was hospitalized, I stood at my head with an icon of his to help me. And when I go somewhere, I always have four icons with the Saint “, Leo Iorga declared. (Oana Pascaru)
