For the past week, the Covid-19 variants have been spreading within the school complex. In Aristide-Briand, ten students were detected positive for Covid, with many contact cases. Friday March 19, 2021, it was decided that all final year students will stay at home until March 28.
At the Brossaud-Blancho vocational school, in the same enclosure, six classes have been forced to close over the past two weeks. On Friday there were three more. Their reopening is planned for Wednesday. Sixteen cases of Covid have been detected, including five of the South African variant.
The ARS and the Rectorate have therefore decided to carry out a test campaign within the school campus on Friday. 650 tests were carried out. “Six positive cases were detected, indicates the Rectorate. Including five terminal students. This shows that we have done well to close all the terminal classes to stop the spread of the virus.”
A campaign of this magnitude is a first in the Academy.

Free and walk-in screenings
The ARS has therefore decided to launch two screening days for Covid-19 open to all in Saint-Nazaire led by anti-covid mediators.
The test centers will be open Wednesday, March 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Georges-Brassens multipurpose room, Robespierre district and in the Alexandre Guyodo gymnasium, Petit caporal district.
Thursday, March 25, it will be possible to be tested in the J. Dubé multipurpose room (West Town), from 10:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Screening is free, without an appointment, without a prescription. You just have to plan, if
possible, his identity card and his vital card.
“This campaign is aimed at all residents and provides for screening by antigenic tests. The results are known in 15 to 20 minutes.”
Identify the circulation of the virus
The Prefecture, the Regional Health Agency and the cities concerned strongly urge residents to get tested.
“This operation makes it possible to diagnose and isolate people who would be infected with Covid-19 as well as their contacts at risk and who, showing little or no symptoms, would ignore it. It also makes it possible to better identify the circulation of the virus, in particular that of variants. “
