Saint-Maximin’s paintings are all back

After having been absent for a little more than three years, the last two monumental paintings of the Saint-Maximin church in Thionville found their place on the walls of the building this Friday, November 13. Dismantling, restoration of damaged parts, replacement of the frame … The work carried out on these canvases, classified as historical monuments in 1983, was lengthy and made all the more difficult by the dimensions of these paintings measuring seven meters by three. Project manager for the restoration, the Portes de France-Thionville agglomeration community entrusted the work to the Jeannette workshop, located in Boersch, Alsace, for a total cost of € 110,156 (HT) shared between the community Agglo (25%), Drac (50%) and the Grand Est Region (25%).
