the essential
On the occasion of the wishes, Thierry Fourcassier, mayor of the town, wanted to be optimistic about the projects in progress.

Tuesday, January 17, in the large hall of the rural home, the mayor welcomed the Saint-Joryens, the traders, the representatives of the associations and the elected officials of the neighboring municipalities for the traditional ceremony of vows.

After an interruption related to the health situation, the mayor presented an inventory at time T on the work carried out and on the projects that will see the light of day, or will begin throughout the year. Among these projects, there is the cultural center with a theater and cinema, the media library and the redevelopment of the Salle des Beams which will host exhibitions, weddings and various ceremonies. The opening to the public is planned for the course of the summer. On this project, the mayor recalled that inflation and the cost of materials led to an increase of €100,000. After the evocation of the extension of the Jean de la Fontaine school, the creation of the new gymnasium, the road works done and those scheduled (city center, rue de Bagnols, place de la Résistance and the Republic) c It is the development of the heart of the city that has been developed. The mayor pointed out that the work is planned over a period of 10 years. Speaking of the heart of the city, the start-up of the municipal post office was once again explained with supporting figures. This chapter was closed with: “the town hall of Saint-Jory is a real public service”. Other subjects and not the least mentioned by the mayor: services by city buses (59) and the northern Toulouse rail project, work on which will begin this year.

After congratulating the associations, their leaders and more particularly those whose representatives have won titles and awards, Thierry Fourcassier invited the public to gather around an aperitif dinner.
