Saint John of Aznalfarache has had a total of 4 mayors until the votes of May 28, 2023, although everything seems to indicate that the town will have a new person in the Mayor’s Office, since the voters have decided that it was time for a new change and have elected the PP as first force politics, something that is unprecedented in the town.
Until now the town had had three mayors socialists and a coalition mayor IULV-CA, the only one that has managed to break the socialist hegemony in power (whether alone or accompanied) since 1979. As a curious fact, access to the IULV-CA City Council after the 1995 elections was only possible thanks to an agreement with the Andalusian Party and with him PP.
Only one seat difference
The PP of San Juan de Aznalfarache has not achieved an absolute majority, but it has surpassed the PSOE and is the leading force in the town. has done it with 2,499 votes (and 28,03%) that allows you to have 7 councilors in the City Council, one more than the PSOE (second force with a 24,95% of the votes).

In 2019 it slipped citizens on the benches of the Consistory equaling the PP with four councilors. The liberal formation added 1,371 votes, 16.42% of those issued.
Go ahead San Juan, the result of the union of Podemos-Izquierda Unida por Andalucía, obtained three councilors with 1,109 votes (13.28%). Finally, Vox got a representative in the City Council by obtaining 654 votes, 7.83%.
