The Espace Orlando association, through Philippe Grazianio in charge of communication, presents the original exhibition which will animate the site, from July 3 to August 31: “Unusual Mona Lisa, tributes and diversions”.
We no longer present the Mona Lisa?
First name, Lisa; name, Gherardini; born in Florence on June 5, 1479, wife of Francesco del Giocondo, who commissioned a portrait of her beautiful from Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), then renowned painter, in 1503. Will she be exhibited at the Espace Orlando?
Oh no! It is not available, well framed, well protected, well visited, at the Louvre museum.
Unusual Mona Lisa, original Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa in painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, and other sometimes unexpected media, there will however be some in Saint-Jean-Lespinasse.
Thirty artists were won over by the proposal. All of them lent themselves to the game and projected themselves into an interpretation of the mythical work of Leonardo da Vinci.
After their visit to Espace Orlando, visitors will never look at the Mona Lisa like before!
Then they will be able to see it again at home, if they are seduced by an original work because these Mona Lisa will be offered for sale, mostly created for this exhibition.
The Mona Lisa will very rarely have left the Louvre. However, it was moved to protect it from major risks during three wars which could have endangered the museum’s treasures.
During the Second World War, she was welcomed at the superb Château de Montal, nearby. Wasn’t an exhibition on the Mona Lisa going to impose itself in these places?
It is done. The Château de Montal participates in its own way: in its rooms are arranged objects bearing the image of the Mona Lisa: diversions of its image by caricature, advertising, souvenir or trinket object, domestic object .
From May to autumn 2021, for visitors, the “Look for Monna” route will be explained and they will be able to discover the creations of the artists of Espace Orlando.
