The Sampec company has been in existence for more than 35 years and Dominique Fayel took over its management in 1992. It is located in Lunel, commune of Saint-Félix-de-Lunel. A true industrial flagship for the territory, it is an expert in precision mechanics, the production of tools for riveting and the crimping of rivets for the manufacture. Its know-how is now recognized by the major French haute couture houses. Sampec also works in the aeronautics sector, special machinery, defence… Quality and rigor are valued elements in the production process of this family business. As such, to guarantee optimal quality, the company obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2014 and EN 9100 (certification for aeronautics) in 2018.
The company can currently count on 11 employees. Its business continues to grow and it hired three new employees in 2022.
Recently, to improve production, a mezzanine development project was launched. This mezzanine will be transformed into a programming office, an office for Tristan, the managers’ son, called upon to take over the reins of the company, as well as a rest room for the employees. This development will make it possible to increase the performance of the means of production, by supporting the continuous improvement of the company.
The community of municipalities, competent to grant aid for business real estate, has been asked to support this project. After verifying the eligibility of the file and examining it, the elected members of the community council decided to support this development project to the tune of €15,936. This aid confirms the Fayel family in its choice to maintain this activity in rural areas.
The partnership agreement was signed a few days ago by Mr. Fayel, manager of the company and Jean-Marie Lacombe, president of the community of municipalities in the presence of Guy Visseq, mayor of Saint-Félix-de-Lunel and by Davy Lagrange, vice-president for economic development of the community of communes Conques-Marcillac.
