Aurélie was summoned that day to a disciplinary interview for “disobedience to his hierarchy and non-compliance with medical recommendations”. However, she only denounced the understaffing in the service, and this summons was very shocking in the hospital as this situation is that of all the services.
A petition was signed by 1,173 people at Saint-Antoine hospital, plus 500 others elsewhere at the AP-HP. Many caregivers wanted to circulate it, seeing that the management wants to set an example with this nurse and pose a threat to everyone.
Five days before the interview, the management moved it from Saint-Antoine to the Tenon hospital. This did not prevent, after a rally in Saint-Antoine, that 150 people were present in Tenon at the time of the interview, coming from several hospitals, to affirm their support for Aurélie. A new gathering took place the next day in Saint-Antoine, bringing together 130 people.
All CGT officials from AP-HP and the CGT Health federation supported Aurélie, and demanded the lifting of all disciplinary measures. And, in any case in Saint-Antoine, as elsewhere at the AP-HP, many hospital workers are not ready to let this attack pass. Behind a popular activist, the entire staff is targeted by a management that would like everyone to bow their heads and resign themselves to being understaffed. A new rally is scheduled for March 6.
