The sailors from the Bulgarian ship “Rozhen”, which is located in the Israeli port of Ashdod and is located near the hostilities, are worried. One of the crew members told BNT that he only hoped that the bombs would not fall on the heads of his colleagues.
The ship will leave the dangerous water area in a week at the earliest, reports BNT.
Bombings are taking place in the immediate vicinity.
The executive director of the Bulgarian Navy, Alexander Kalchev, stated that there was no danger to the crew. However, national television was contacted by sailors from the ship who said they did not feel safe.
The footage, which was shown this morning, shows the closeness of the fighting. All sailors on board, who are 14 Bulgarians and five Ukrainians, are fine.
According to Captain Kalchev, the ship’s danger level, despite the military situation, is first, which is the lowest.
“The sirens blared. We are waiting for the bombs on the Rozhen ship. Only on us do not fall that bad! As Kalchev says, everything is calm. There is no war for them and we are immortal,” commented one of the sailors.
