(ANSA) – ANCONA, SEPTEMBER 26 – Two sailboats suddenly capsized and five people saved. It is the outcome of two distinct and simultaneous sea rescue operations coordinated by the Ancona Coast Guard in the afternoon between Emilia Romagna and Marche. The first accident occurred off the coast of Montemarciano (Ancona) where a sailing vessel, with an adult and a 12 year old boy on board, capsized: the rescue activity was conducted jointly by the Ancona Coast Guard and a Fire Brigade vehicle, the two survivors were saved. The shipwreck of another sailing boat off the coast of Porto Garibaldi (Ferrara) had the same positive outcome, with the rescue of the three people: in this case a patrol boat from the Ravenna Coast Guard intervened. At the moment, underlines the Coast Guard, “the priority was the protection of life but in the next few days the military will investigate the causes that led to the accidents”. (HANDLE).
