The official announcement was expected in June… Obviously, it took longer than expected. This does not prevent potential sailors from training quietly. On the ENVSN Quiberon Facebook page, we learn that the tricolor challenge, under the banner, K-Challenge, settled for three days in the premises of the establishment with the objective of “ bring together the simulator teams led by Benjamin Muyl and potential sailors (Aloïse Retornaz, Manon Audinet, Quentin Delapierre, Kevin Peponnet and François Morvan) on the America’s Cup project”.
Sailors who were well surrounded with Douillard for the coaching part and Franck Cammas in charge of the technical performance of the boat. We also learn that Sébastien Col is the sports director of the Challenge.
Remember that the 37th edition of the America’s Cup will take place in 2024 in Barcelona on AC75, that all the challenges involved will also have to have an AC40, a reduced version which will be used by women and young sailors.
