Deprived of a few internationals (Farinez, Frankowski, Doucouré, Ganago and Kalimuendo) and with several players in care (Leca, Haïdara, Fofana, Kakuta, Sotoca), Franck Haise has aligned a hybrid team against Dunkirk which allowed to give rhythm to some (Wooh, Boura, Danso, Cahuzac, Jean) and to give others in the sense of competition, like Wesley Saïd. Present for the first time on a scoresheet last weekend against Lorient, but without coming into play, the striker this time was able to play his first minutes.
The Lensois again conceded a very quick goal, from the first minute and another at the very end of the first period. But they also showed that their offensive animation, whatever the players, was efficient with three goals scored in the first period by Corentin Jean, Facundo Medina and the inevitable Jonathan Clauss aligned in the attacking trio, for the needs of the service since four forwards were forfeited.
This is a positioning that will give good lessons to Franck Haise, just like that of Kevin Danso, placed in the midfield alongside Yannick Cahuzac. In the second half, the Lensois coach installed youth in the team with the players of the training center and Lens conceded two new goals.
