Chairman of the DPP PDI Perjuangan Said Abdullah emphasized that his party would not advance alone 2024 election. According to him, PDIP will explore a coalition with other parties.
“We will definitely work together, there is no way we will be alone. Because that is the character of the PDI Perjuangan,” said Said at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/2/2023).
“And always conveyed by Mbak Puan, by Mrs. Ketum, building the nation cannot be done alone, but together, but together in the context of ideology, the vision and mission are the same,” he continued.
Regarding the coalition’s decision, said Said, it was in the hands of PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri. He leaked the possibility that the announcement will be made next June.
“As for the announcement, it is in the hands of the Ketum and as conveyed by the Secretary General, in June,” he said.
“Yes, hopefully (June declaration),” he continued.
When asked whether the announcement of the coalition would be accompanied by the announcement of the presidential candidates (candidates), Said said there was a possibility that it might go that way.
“If I say God willing, I’m afraid of slipping, I’m afraid of being wrong, but if the Secretary General conveys it in June, yes, I believe the Secretary General has received Mrs Ketum’s directions,” he said.
