“The whole family and those who knew ‘Saïdou’ are sad and in shock. We don’t understand why so much violence… My brother died for a metro ticket! ” Houaria M’Hadi tries, unsuccessfully, to hold back her tears. She is the youngest in the family and has just lost her two year old elder. A rather special older brother, who spoke little, his speech problems made it difficult to understand and who could neither read nor write because of his severe mental handicap. “But he was a calm person who only wanted peace”, insists Houaria, met by Release a week after the tragedy.
