From today there is a way to enjoy life as a camper in an alternative way, not in the classic “low cost holiday” style camping, but in a camper that becomes a luxury home. That’s right, it sounds unbelievable but it’s reality. This is possible thanks to the SAIC Maxus Life Home V90 Villa Edition.
With a stylish bar and living room, the RV also has an elevator and a Zen tea room upstairs; the Villa V90 is a vehicle that certainly attracts attention within a camping area, although while driving along the road it may seem like a ‘normal van’. Unfortunately, the camper is intended exclusively for the Chinese market. The engineers who designed SAIC Maxus Life Home V90 Villa Edition had an original idea: why widen or lengthen the vehicle when it is possible to extend upwards? And so they created a real upper floor, reachable by elevator.
The double-decker camper is full of surprises. When in driving mode, as we have already mentioned, it almost looks like a standard vehicle. But when it opens, Transformers-style, in the place where you plan to spend the night, it becomes more than a little house on wheels. First, you can extend the sides, expanding the size of the main floor, which includes the living room, the kitchen, the “luxury bar” and the bathroom.
Upstairs, which can be reached by elevator, there is the second level that it offers an “open room”, a Zen tea room or study, with windows that can switch from transparent to opaque depending on privacy requirements. The interior living spaces can be furnished with any comfort and luxury items. There is also a pull-out kitchenette behind the passenger side rear wheel of the camper that can transform camping life in a screaming experience.
There are many renderings related to the luxury camper on the company’s website. Let’s not forget that SAIC Maxus sells a wide variety of motorhomes in China and there are many other versions of the V90 on the market, from the basic edition to the extraordinary Villa Edition, with lift and panoramic terrace.
