The deputy chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Ahmad Sahroni, commented on the lawyer’s statement Kamaruddin Simanjuntak on “Police Serves Mafia”. National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is trying to clean up Polri’s internal affairs, according to Ahmad Sahroni.
«I don’t want to be hypocritical in saying that there is no mafia inside the Polri institute. There are also some mafia cops. However, if Kamaruddin calls the entire Polri institute as servants of the mafia, of course I do not agree,” said Sahroni, contacted on Saturday (12/24/2022).
According to the NasDem politician, the national police chief, Gen. Sigit, is committed to freeing the police from these elements. According to him, the steps taken by the police chief must be supported.
“Because I know for a fact that there are serious efforts made by the national police chief to clean up mafia affairs in this police case. He is on the right track. That’s why we have to support them, encourage them. Don’t discourage them,” he said. .
Sahroni gave an example of the case of former Propam Polri chief Ferdy Sambo. In that case, the National Police Chief did not hesitate to take action against the wrong members and was involved in the plot to kill and manipulate the murder case of Brigadier Yosua Hutabarat.
“We can see in the Sambo case, how many policemen involved in the ‘mafia action’ were finally dealt with firmly? This is clearly proof of the national police chief’s seriousness,” he said.
Reasons for reporting Kamaruddin and Uya Kuya to the police

Responding to the report, Kamaruddin Simanjuntak accused his reporter of “police serve mafia” statement as accomplices of Ferdy Sambo who didn’t accept it by uncovering the veil in Brigadier Yosua N Hutabarat’s murder case. Indeed, he said, similar reports had been occurring since July.
