74-ranked Madelene Sagström made a good first round on Thursday when she landed on two strokes under par, which meant a shared tenth place. But the 28-year-old rose another level during the second round of the major competition.
She offered a full five birdies and just one bogey and stands at a total of six under par. Sagström is currently alone second behind Frenchwoman Céline Boutier.
